Chris Seal 
Principal Dentist

Chris qualified from University College London in 1989, taking on the ownership of Saffron Walden Dental Practice in 2003. He has a passion for dentistry and a special interest in cosmetic and reconstructive procedures, which has encouraged him to undertake postgraduate qualifications in restorative dentistry from the Eastman Dental Hospital and Royal College of Surgeons. 
Chris has studied on courses taught by leading clinicians within the dental sector and maintains his dental knowledge by attending various post graduate courses. 
He also works alongside specialist colleagues at Hawthorn Dental Practice in Epping. 
 
Chris will look after your teeth in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere providing dentistry in a caring and gentle way. Whether you are looking for a simple check-up or to improve your smile through cosmetic dentistry & tooth whitening he is here to help you with all of your dental needs. 
Away from dentistry he enjoys running, cycling, tennis and trying to keep up with his children.

Min qualified from Birmingham University with honours in 1991 after which she undertook further specialist training in Oral Surgery at the Royal London Hospital. She is a registered specialist in Oral Surgery and clinical director. 
 
Min currently works as an Associate Specialist in Oral and Maxillofacial surgery at Princess Alexandra Hospital Harlow, as well as our private practice Hawthorn in Epping. She has extensive clinical experience and her expertise can assure that you receive the highest standards of care at this practice. 
 
Min is dedicated to continuing professional development and has further qualifications in Implant Dentistry and Dental Health Care, Leadership and Management. 
 
Min has several years of teaching experience and currently teaches and examines dentists for their post graduate qualifications in Oral Surgery and Implant dentistry at the Royal College of Surgeons England. 
 
She is passionate about dentistry and manages to balance her professional career with family life. She is married with 3 children. 
Akeel gained his BDS from The University of Jordan in 2002 and has Membership of Faculty of Dentistry, The Royal College of Surgeons of Ireland MFDRCSI in 2004 and Fellowship in Oral Surgery and Medicine as well as Royal College of Surgeons of Ireland FFDRCSI ( OSOM) 2007. Jordanian Board Certificate in oral and Maxillofacial surgery 2014. and more recently passed the exam of the diploma in implant dentistry (Dip Imp Dent) from the Royal College of Surgeons (England) in 2016. 
 
Akeel has worked in several units across the UK in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Currently works as a speciality Doctor in Oral and Maxillofacial surgery at The Princess Alexandra Hospital and runs there oral surgical lists both under local and general anaesthesia, he is also in charge of training trainee dentists at the same hospital. 
 
Akeel has also interest in academic work. He is the author of surgical books, and has many publications in very reputable surgical journals. 
 
Akeel is married with children. Outside his work, he enjoys gardening, and likes to spend time with family.  
Jenny van Rooijen

Jenny joined our practice in April 2022 on reception. 
She qualified as a Dental Nurse 18 years ago, and worked in that role for many years before taking a break to raise a family. 
Jenny is very approachable, with an excellent knowledge of both the front of house and the surgery environment.  
She is very much a 'peoples person', and will go to great lengths to ensure you feel welcome and comfortable within our Dental Practice. 
 
Away from the practice, Jenny loves spending time with her 2 girls, taking them to Cafes, Cinema, Shopping and on bike rides near her home. She and her husband have recently moved house, so enjoy spending their time doing renovations and gardening on the sunny days. 
Amanda is our treatment coordinator, responsible for looking after the oral surgery diary. She is a skilled dental nurse/receptionist, and has 17 years of experience and a wealth of knowledge behind her. Amanda is friendly and approachable and can offer some excellent advice.  
 
Outside of the practice, Amanda enjoys going to the cinema, spending time with her children and watching and playing rugby. 
 
Zoe Mills  
Trainee Dental Nurse  
 
Zoe joined us in December 2021, and is currently working towards her qualification in Dental Nursing, whilst working alongside Chris and Min. 
 
Zoe is friendly and welcoming, and has a great can-do attitude!
